How can I keep my hair straight for longer?

I have long, curly hair, but I like to wear it straight most of the time because it's just less of a hassle. This is the exact regimen I've been following since I was in high school (I'm graduating college now): I wash my hair with either Pantene Pro-V Smooth and Sleek shampoo followed by the conditioner, or if you have recently colored your hair as I sometimes do, Frederik Fekkai's technicolor line (is pink in color, sold at many beauty stores/salons such as Ulta and Sephora, even some bath and body works flagship stores). I then use a defrizzer/straightening sebum by Phyto called Phytodefrisant (this line is AMAZING!!!!!! also sold at many beauty stores and some bath and body works stores). Then I use my favorite blow dryer ever, the Twin Turbo 2500 (really expensive, around $100 bucks) with the diffuser attached to the end along with a huge boars hair-bristled brush with good ventilation. If your hair is not very long, you don't need such a big brush (your hair's length should only be able to wrap around the brush one time). If you don't have the money to buy such an expensive hair dryer, be sure to at least get one with a diffuser attached to the end, although the hair dryer you use is a very important factor in how your hair comes out. Then I used a straightening iron: I use the Hot Tools gold plated one ($30), but there are SO many. The Chi ceramic straightener is really good, but it's also really expensive, so I just stick with the Hot tools one because it gets the job done. Finally, especially if it is humid, or if your hair is dry, OR if you just want some extra shine, use a gloss to block out moisture that tends to flow into your hair (moisture flows from high moisture to low moisture, so if your hair is dry, and the air around you is just a little damp, the moisture will be attracted into your hair and voila! RUINED!). I used m.o.p.'s high gloss serum (it's organic, so I like it, but there are SO MANY, even at local drugstores). If you have dry hair i also recommend hot oil treatments once every week or two because split ends cause frizz, and wavy hair is prone to frizz. GOOD LUCK! I HOPE THIS HELPS!!!! =)

Use shampoo and conditioner that helps make hair straight. Blow dry it straight w/ a round brush and put on some smoothing creme for heat. Straighten it and make sure you are doing LITTLE pieces so the heat can penetrate. Use a smoothinf/holding creme when you are done. It should stay!!
