You should definitely try SunSilk Straightening line. They are not expensive and do wonders for my coarse hair. With these, I get silky hair every time. My hair does not need to even get ironed. The smell is great too-

If u like ur hair to be straight %26amp; silky, there are a few professional brand name stuff that will help u with that. You can use 'graham web's shampoo %26amp; conditioner. Alterna have a very good one but it is a little expensive. You can use the "redken smoothdown' It is nice because it makes it smooth, silky %26amp; it is good for straight hair. It is also not that expensive. For styling your hair for occassions you can curl all ur hair, half up %26amp; half down, curl the ends only, or do updo's. Make sure u do some back combing like celebrities so it looks like it got volume w/out making ur head look so flat. Good luck.
