Born with straight dark hair, at 16 changes to light brown and curly?

The father of my child was born with pin straight dark hair, and when he was 16 he shaved his head and it grew back light brown and curly and has been ever since..

Does anyone know why this might be or how it will effect our unborn child?

puberty will make hair do this. i unfortunately know from experience. you can bet the curl will win out with your child.

My hair changed at puberty from straight to frizzy, and became darker in color. *shrug* I'm thinking your dad shaved at just the right time.
