My daughter had thin straight hair and I would use a curling iron and spray hair spray on hair while its on the curling iron. When you hair has completely cooled..,use a pick and not a comb or brush and you will have lots of curls..,smaller curling iron as well.Hope this helps you.Good luck

while you curl your hair use a lot of hairspray but believe me no matter how many times you try to curl your hair it will always come out straight

Make sure the hair isn't TOO clean or dirty. Put some lightweight styling gel in soon after washing the hair. Dry the hair with a low heat setting on the hair dryer. Got some bobby pins or hair clips ready? Starting from the TOP front, brush with a bristly brush, one section of hair, holding it out straight. Slip it into the curling iron with the end not having any bits sticking out. Roll the hair up the iron, then clamp. Hold for at least 15 seconds, HIGH heat. (Sorry for using high heat on ya.) If your scalp starts to feel hot, unclamp and then grab the whole section, still rolled and pin it to your head. Do this all the way down in a line or wherever you want the curls, till you finish the last bottom curl.

If the curls are pinned well, none are falling down, blast hair with hair dryer on COOL setting for about ten seconds on each intact pinned curl. Then pick the first one you pinned and unpin it. Do the rest in the order which they were curled and pinned. Do not brush. Use your fingers to comb the curls.

It should be beautiful and hold all day or most of it. If not all day, then it will still do something pretty.
