to answer your question, i think everyone wants to be like someone else. I mean not all of us are happy with the way we look, maybe that explains why curly haired people want to have straight hair while striaght hair people want to have wavy/curly hair.

I'm asian and I have thick striaght hair and i desire to have wavy locks, well to me having stiff long straight hair is boring.

and i have friends who have naturally very-curly or just wavy hair who want to have straight hair like mine. They tell me its hard for them to tame their curls and its hard work everyday just to make them look nice and curly hair.

Because the grass is always greener. Curls are pretty (I have curly hair) but finding a product (or a combo) that will define your curls, prevent it from being frizzy, and make it manageable enough to comb can take a long time. I didn't find that combination until I was 26. People with straight hair don't realize the hassle we go through for our "natural" look.

If you want naturally straight hair, you might not realize how difficult it can be to get your hair to hold curls, not fall flat.

i have the same hair as you by the sounds of it. I sometimes straighten my hair but it is really bad for your hair. Go to a salon and get your hair straightened it will last as long as a perm(if you don't want to have to keep straightening your hair). I take my bangs and clip them up in the center of my head and let the rest of my hair curl. It looks cute and I get complements all the time.

For the same reason short people want to be tall like me. I keep hitting my head and furniture is to small, beds to short and it is a conspiricy on the part of short people to make life miserable on tall people. So is the reason for your curly hair. We all LOVE curly hair, but the straight hair people are jealous so they try to convince curly haired people to change themselves into something they are not. Just so they can feel good about themselves. I say hurraY FOR CURLY HAIR!!!! Be your self!!!
