btw... iv tried scrunching it and at first i like the way it looks, but it rather looks wet the whole day or it dries poofy. pleaz hlp!!!!

Me and a few of my friends have straight hair too (asian thing i guess). I had mine cut to a shag and now it is at shoulder length I found it more manageable. I use a straightner and twist my wrist when I get near the tip. It gives it a wavy look with a bit of volume. Then i finish with a bit of hair spray. Using a hair straighter, even if you hair is already straight gives it a shiny look and makes your hair soft. (make sure it is ceramic tho)

If you have longer hair, you should try using a curling iron or those big leave on curling things they put in your hair at the salon. A self blow drying job is pretty tiring and can take about 20 mins on dry hair. For a longer lasting look, consider getting a perm.

Try curling your hair. Especially in the ends to give it a celebrity look.

You could braid your hair and leave it in braids while you sleep. In the morning undo the braids and you will have some waves in your hair. That is an easy way to see if you like waves without the comittment of a perm.

what the person above me said. but do it with Wet hair. a bunch of little braids nice and tight but not super tight. then in the morning take them out and wavessssss ^___^

Not only can you braid your damp hair, and then take the braids out hours later, but there are many hair straighteners that have plates you can change. You can purchase wavy plates, slide them into your straightener, and wallah! Wavy hair for hours on end.

Make sure to top your waves off with some mousse or hairspray.
