have you tried a hot ceramic curling iron? those work nice with a light hold hairspray. i have straight long hair and it works for me!

ok i used to get perms all the time, but the best way to do this: is go get it professionally done tell them you want a spiral perm and they will schedule you in, this is only if you dont want to do the cheap home perms they dont last as long as the professionals do hope it helps!!!

Try a (Conair) 3/4 barrel curler... and use L'Oreal Hot Curls (it's a spray)... it works for me...
